Get your Child to Exercise the Fun Way!

Does Tigger the bouncing Tiger come to mind when you think about your child? All parents wish they had even half the energy their kids do. In order for children to be able to relax, they must run, bounce and jump to release that pent up liveliness from within. Sometimes parents are just too busy to bounce along with their child so it's important to create a home environment that offers ways for your child to get physical, every day, to release his or her excess energy.

Physical exercise also has many proven health benefits for children. Active children will become active adults. Starting young will help children create a lifetime of good health while also helping to extend their life expectancy. Exercise helps to control weight, reduce blood pressure, raise HDL (good cholesterol levels), reduce risk of diabetes and some cancers and can improve a person's psychological well-being including higher self-esteem and better self-image. To encourage your child to get physical, try limiting your child's daily TV and video game time and adding some scheduled "active" time to each day. Here are a few fun suggestions of how to create a healthy play environment that will encourage your child to get active daily.

Jumping Action

You can't go wrong with a trampoline in the back yard. Having a Bazoongi Kids 7.5' Trampoline with Enclosure out back is a sure fire way to get your child to jump around every day. No child will say "No!" if you suggest that he go out back to bounce around. This is a great way to guarantee that your child will get exercise on a regular basis and the best part is that he will think he's just having fun!

Scooting Along

Every kid has the need for speed. Heck, so do most adults, so why not encourage your child to zoom around the driveway or culdesac on this fun push scooter. Your youngster's heart will race as he works hard to get this scooter going full speed. Your child will be having so much fun riding around that he won't realize that he's getting a great workout that will help build the foundation for lifelong good health.

Balancing Fun

Children start climbing as young tots. Tell a child he can't have a cookie, put the cookies on a high shelf and sure enough, that child somehow figures out how to climb to that cookie jar. Why not promote climbing in a safe and fun way through the Wee Blossom Go Go Balance Fun play set. Your child will have tons of fun figuring out how to climb to the top then down the other side or climb underneath or balance on each bar. There are so many exciting ways to play with this fun set. While your child is having a good ol' time, he'll also be getting lots of great exercise. You can't beat that!

Coordination Development

If your child loves going from here to there, now he can do it quicker by using the Wee Blossom Pedal Roller. Your child will learn to coordinate leg movements to go faster and faster when zooming around the driveway on this fun riding toy. If your child is a beginner he can use the handrails for help, but as he gets older you can remove the handrails to make this a more challenging ride. This riding toy is so much fun, your child won't have any clue he's getting exercise while zooming around.

Your child's imagination will soar when he creates a fun play area by moving around all the pieces in this set to create a path that encourages jumping, balancing, stepping in small spaces and much more.

Final Comments

It's important to encourage your child to develop habits that will promote a healthy lifestyle from childhood through adulthood. Creating a fun play area that supports active play is the perfect way to get your child exercising at his own free will. If you tell a child to do push-ups he'll moan and groan, but if you suggest that a child jump on a trampoline, he'll do it willingly. Make exercise fun and you'll have a healthy, happy child.
